What’s Growing 2025 – Greenhouse Conference in September

The municipality of Stavanger has initiated a new national and international greenhouse conference taking place on September 11–12, 2025, at Tou Scene in Stavanger. Organized by TEAL, What’s Growing will serve as a key meeting place for professionals in the greenhouse industry. The goal is to bring together industry stakeholders to discuss its breadth, the challenges ahead, and how Rogaland can strengthen its position as a leading food region in Norway.

Where tomorrow’s greenhouse industry is shaped today

The greenhouse industry is undergoing significant changes to meet future sustainability and efficiency demands. The conference will highlight new solutions for controlled environment cultivation, an increasingly important concept for ensuring both economic and environmental sustainability in the industry. Participants will gain insight into the latest technologies, research, and practices that can contribute to a more resilient and forward-thinking greenhouse sector.

Bringing together national and international experts, industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers, the two-day conference will cover key topics such as biology, energy, emerging industries, sustainability, waste management, and sales and marketing. The aim is to provide participants with valuable insights and opportunities to establish meaningful connections.

Social and Professional Gatherings
Ahead of the conference, industry-wide networking events will be hosted, with details to be announced in the spring.

The conference also includes sustainable-themed lunches, featuring specially curated meals that connect the event’s themes with local cuisine. These lunches provide a unique opportunity to explore how sustainability and innovation intersect in food production.

On the evening of September 11, participants can attend an exclusive experience at Flor & Fjære, a renowned garden oasis focused on self-sufficiency and circular resource use. The event offers inspiration on blending sustainability with aesthetics and concludes with a locally sourced dinner. This is an optional event requiring separate registration.
