Collaboration with Hjelmeland Municipality at This Year’s Gladmat Festival

The Gladmat Festival is approaching, and we at TEAL are excited to contribute to this year’s stand for Hjelmeland Municipality. Sina Tjøtta from TEAL will be an additional resource during the festival, helping with planning and marketing, and supporting the already impressive work that Hjelmeland has done over the past few years.

The Taste of Hjelmeland

Gladmat is Norway’s largest food festival, attracting around 250,000 visitors each year. The festival takes place from June 25th to 28th in the heart of Stavanger, where the area along Vågen is filled with a wide variety of food exhibitors. The festival offers exciting activities for food enthusiasts, families with children, and industry professionals, making it a fantastic opportunity to explore new flavors, learn about food production, and gain insights into sustainable food choices.

This will be the fourth year Hjelmeland Municipality participates in Gladmat, and it is inspiring to see how the festival has helped put the municipality on the map. Hjelmeland has established itself as a strong presence at the festival and has been a proud winner of several awards in recent years. With the goal of showcasing the municipality’s best local products, they have not only shared incredible tasting experiences but also contributed to building pride around local food and juice/cider producers. The festival has highlighted Hjelmeland’s unique food traditions and attracted visitors from all over the region.

A Unique Collaboration Among Producers
One of the most impressive aspects of Hjelmeland’s participation in Gladmat is the strong collaboration between the local food and juice/cider producers. In Hjelmeland, there is a genuine team spirit, with producers supporting each other to create the best possible experience for visitors. Together, they offer a cohesive range of products that complement each other, with each producer showcasing their unique offerings.

A Collaboration for Ryfylke
This year, Hjelmeland Municipality has chosen to collaborate with Suldal Municipality and Visit Suldal to highlight Ryfylke at the festival. Together, they have a shared tent area, a «Ryfylke Street,» where visitors can experience the best from both municipalities. This collaboration shows how community and cooperation can elevate the entire region and make the Gladmat experience even more exciting.

We look forward to contributing to Hjelmeland’s stand at Gladmat and hope to see many familiar faces at the stand located by the quay, right next to Ryger Elektra and the Stavanger Maritime Museum.
