Apal Sideri is the winner of the Business Development Award 2024

Apal Sideri and Dan Olav Sæbø won the prestigious Business Development Award in Agriculture in Rogaland for 2024! The prize of NOK 50,000 was presented by County Mayor Ole Ueland and Director of Innovasjon Norge Rogaland, Kari Holmefjord Vervik. This is a great recognition of the work Apal Sideri does in local processing, value creation, and innovation in cider production.

A strong player in local processing and cider production

Apal Sideri, known for its high-quality cider, has established itself as a strong player in local processing. Their focus on using local ingredients and traditional craftsmanship is inspiring and contributes to promoting local business development. This award is a confirmation of their dedicated work to elevate local cider production and pave the way for other players in agriculture. Innovasjon Norge presents the award on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and it is given to entrepreneurs who have established a successful business based on the resources of agriculture and rural areas. One winner is selected from each county, and the county winners then compete for the national prize of NOK 250,000.

As the winner in Rogaland, Apal Sideri will represent the county in the national competition, where three candidates will be nominated for the final award ceremony. The national winner will be announced at Internationale Grüne Woche in Berlin in January 2025. This is a great opportunity for Apal Sideri to showcase its expertise and further develop its contribution to Norwegian food and drink culture. TEAL congratulate Dan Olav Sæbø and Apal Sideri on this fantastic achievement and wish them the best of luck in the national competition!
